SKOV develops, produces and markets systems and components for ventilation systems, livestock house air cleaning and production control. Two products developed by SKOV are the DOL 539 and FarmOnline v. 2.0.
The DOL 539 climate and production computer is a new generation of house computers which has a large graphic display that also serves as touch-screen when navigating in the menu options of the house computer. The DOL 539 house computer is LAN based and therefore has the possibility of direct connection to FarmOnline. DOL 539 controls the climate according to the Combi-Tunnel principle, which is the optimum solution in the subtropical parts of the world. DOL 539 ensures optimum conditions for birds by making the ventilation dependent on the outside temperature and the age of the birds. The DOL 539 production module is capable of handling all basic functions in poultry production such as bird weighing, water, light and feed control plus registration of dead birds. The production module including mixing of feed provides the possibility of mixing four feed components.
FarmOnline is a management tool which SKOV has developed for use by the ever-larger pig and poultry farms. The system ensures the producer the highest possible yield from the production facility. FarmOnline provides central monitoring of several house computers and presents collected data graphically. The following new functionality has been launched in connection with FarmOnline version 2.0. The Broiler module presents a lot of production data from the broiler production in easily comprehensible graphic elements providing the user a quick overview and the possibility of making an in-depth analysis.
The Enterprise module is intended for producers with production on many sites for whom it is important to have a complete overview over these production facilities. FarmOnline Enterprise provides remote access to an unlimited number of farms anywhere in the world. The FarmOnline Management module helps the producer ensure that all house computers at all farms run with the planned settings and strategies. Deviations are clearly shown, and the producer can therefore make sure that the house computers are set as expected.
