Animal pharmaceuticals company Sintofarm has announced that, due to the launch of its new Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) 5 sodium phosphate production, it is ready to cater for current global market demand. “We are ready to launch the product all over the world and we are proud to have contributed to the return of Italy as an active vitamin producing country”, states Sintofarm’s Managing Director Mr. Mirco Benatti.“2011 is the year of Sintofarm’s Riboflavin 5 sodium phosphate 100% Italian product. We can now promptly deliver the product with its complete documentation. Our product is available in granular form in 1, 5 and 20 kg aluminum bags ”, adds Mr. Benatti.
Riboflavin 5 sodium phosphate is viewed as essential in animal nutrition as it generates energy, develops nerves, improves blood cells and regulates hormones. It works in tandem with vitamin A to maintain the health of the nervous system, skin, hair, mucous membranes and blood cells. Vitamin B2 deficiency, however, leads to retarded growth, poor feed utilization and diarrhea in animals.
According to Sintofarm, the launch of the product this year marks the end of 3 years of hard work and numerous scientific research projects. The company views its Riboflavin 5 sodium phosphate as the feed, food and pharmaceutical soluble source of riboflavin. It can be used in water dispersible or liquid/ injectable preparations. “The obtained solution is perfectly clear and orange, yellow-coloured as well as suitable liquid feed supplement”, says Mr. Benatti. The product is in compliance with the European, British and US Pharmacopoeias latest edition and with Commission Directive 2008/128. Moreover, it is both Halal and Kosher certified as well as GMO, BSE/TSE, gluten, protein and allergen-free. Sintofarm also obtained FAMI-QS certification for its entire product portfolio in August 2010.
