Delst Asia will present DMX-7 at VIV Asia 2011. DMX-7 has an international patent on the use of “deliquescents” (chemical compounds that bond to water molecules) for the most effective moisture management performance. In grain storage, DMX-7 can effectively negate movement of free water molecule (keeping a low Aw in the grain mass) to give you the best overall grain quality over a period of extended storage.
In feed processing, the same deliquescents can be effectively used to assist a faster infusion of microscopic water coming out from steam into the feed particles – this enhances a more complete cooking and conditioning, for a better pellet quality, improved machine productivity, and better feeding value.
Reducing feed costs is now achievable by saving back the lost nutrient & energy value of grain in storage and having the ability to improve cooking for better gelatinization and plasticization of starch/protein for better nutrient/energy availability to the animal. This provides a window of opportunity to adjust or reduce formulation specs, especially to energy, in a feed formulation.
The Delst research team shows that without proper moisture management program in the tropical and sub-tropical regions, corn can degrade rapidly from live mold contamination, greatly affecting its ME value and other nutritional profiles. This surely affects feed quality and animal growth performance. Research done with a poultry trial shows a 13-15% economic loss with the poultry feed value based on a weight corrected basis of the poorer performance birds, if degraded contaminated corn is being used in the feed formulation – with today’s feed cost per metric ton basis, this equates to a substantial opportunity loss in monetary value. DMX-7 can help earn back these losses – Find out how and why you need to change your current grain storage program.
Midwest AG Enterprises, located in Marshall MN, USA is the producer of Ferm-O-Tide.
Ferm-O-Tide is a proprietary combination of an enzyme hydrolyzed protein source. It includes porcine intestinal mucosa and vegetable protein. Contains a high ratio of low molecular weight peptides. Ideally suited to replace or complement spray dried porcine plasma for early weaning pig diets. Can also replace high quality fish meal for early weaned pig, growing-finish pig, lactating sow, broiler, layer and aquaculture diets. Its effectiveness is proven in research from Kansas State University and Southern Research and Outreach Center of University of Minnesota. Ferm-O-Tide is also an excellent attractant for aqua feed.
